Presented is a signed and inscribed stereo vinyl record of the Speedway original soundtrack, Elvis Presley’s seventeenth and final soundtrack album. Presley starred in the 1968 film of the same name and sang vocals on the accompanying album. Unlike the film, the soundtrack sold fewer than 100,000 copies and nearly jeopardizing Presley’s career. However, much to Presley’s relief, this album also killed the film soundtrack formula and left him open to take a stronger stand on the production of his future albums. Presley has penned his flowing signature in blue pen in the top right corner of the album cover, along with an inscription that reads, “Thanks Al.” This item presents a heavily circulated manner of appearance, with a discolored and scuffed surface, worn corners and edges, and light creasing. It is accompanied by an LOA from JSA (ZZ31329) for the signature.
