Description
CCM has released the FT880 skate for the competitive level player. Notable features for this Jetspeed skate include a One-Piece boot, TotalDri Pro liner, 7mm felt tongue, Molded Ortholite insole, and the Speedblade XS holder with XS1 Steel.
Skate Fit Profile:The FT880 skate puts focus on player comfort with ADPT Memory Foam and Seamless Comfort to cradle the foot and create a secure connection. The foams have been made with a denser configuration to create a more snug fit. Both regular and wide fits have been made available for purchase, with half sizes increments starting at 7 and going up to 11.5.
Boot Construction and Stiffness: The boot is constructed with a stiffness rating of 160, a bump up from previous years. A stiffer skate can be harder to break in at first, but is more durable in the long run.
Liner and Internal Padding:A TotalDri Pro liner is found in the FT880 skate, which works to wick moisture away and keep feet comfortable and dry during play.
Lacing System:The skate continues to use the tried and true standard eyelet and lace system.
Tongue:The tongue in the FT880 skate has been optimized for lace-bite prevention and player comfort with a 7mm felt tongue. A dual-layer construction is used, with injected protection to enhance overall feel.
Steel / Runner / Profile / Blade Holder: CCM has equipped the FT880 skate with the Step XS1 runner. This steel adds 4mm in height over a standard runner to increase longevity, while the stainless steel construction contributes to longer-lasting edges for overall performance.
The Speedblade XS Holder comes stock in the FT880 skate. This quick-release holder and metal pin blade lock system have been designed for ease of use for replacing steel when needed.
Insoles: A molded CCM Ortholite insole is included with the FT880 to provide ultra-lightweight comfort during use.
Graphics:The FT880 skate closely resembles the elite level graphics seen in the release of the new Jetspeed line, with red and black colouring seen throughout the skate. A fluid design finds its place on the skate with red meeting black and grey on the quarter package, and a dark silver CCM logo on the side and heel of the skate.
